Applications

Printed Electronics

RFID Tag Antennae:   PFI200 nanopowder is
used in ink formulations to print a 100-1000
nm thick silver trace which is used as a base
for plating copper to form a highly conductive
low cost printed RFID Tag antennae.

Display Interconnect: Case Study using PFI200 silver nanopowder for
 credit card antifraud protection devices.

Smart Card Circuitry: PFI200 nanopowder and Spherical Silver
are added to ink formulations to print a 2-5
micron thick highly conductive silver circuit.

Developing Applications

Lead free solders for electronics required by regulators in
the EU and growing internationally is an area where the
unique properties of PChem’s nanopowder can provide an
alternative material with lower operating temperatures and
         higher conductivity.

Fuel Cells: Palladium/Silver powder systems are used to
make membranes for hydrogen separation. These membranes
are used in fuel cells. Finer particles that sinter at lower
temperature would make it possible for two key
         developments
o  the fabrication of smaller pore size membranes that
can produce higher purity hydrogen, and
o  lower temperature cure would enable less expensive
substrates to be utilized, and the processing time
             would be reduced dramatically.

Food Preservation applications currently use silver as a
microbial and light reduction coating in packaging, films and
storage containers. Our silver nanopowder has the potential
to provide a thinner and more effective coating at a lower
         cost.
