About
History
PChem Associates, Inc. was founded in September, 2004 with the goal to provide customers in the printed electronics market with printable conductor materials that could be used on conventional printing equipment, at normal process speeds, and require minimal process modification. PChem has accomplished this goal by developing unique metallic nanoparticles, aqueous dispersions and inks which are currently being used in production of printed electronics on conventional equipment at commercial scales.
Key Personnel
Gregory A. Jablonski, PhD.
Chief Executive Officer and President. Greg has a PhD in Chemical Materials Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and he has extensive experience in product and process development in the chemical process industry. He was previously involved in the establishment of another start-up, Parelec, Inc. as the senior scientist. He also has management experience with Mobil Chemical Company, a division of Mobil Corporation.
Ian Harris
Vice President and Business Development. Ian has been a senior executive at Rohm and Haas Company, a global specialty chemical company, where he held a number of general management and strategy roles. Ian's major accomplishments include leading the company's largest business, the acrylic chain, in managing its portfolio, restructuring the organization, and putting in place growth and fix strategies that resulted in economic profit growing by 175% within 4 years; managing the company's growth in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa; and founding the Paint Quality Institute http://www.paintquality.com/ as a novel marketing approach to go beyond the traditional sale of raw materials to influence end users and retailers on the value of quality paints. He holds a MS in Materials Science and Chemical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Michael A. Mastropietro
Research and Development Manager, Silver Nanoparticle Synthesis and Formulation. Mike Mastropietro is a founding employee with PChem Associates. He received his M.S. degree in chemical engineering from Penn State University in 2000 after completing his thesis entitled, "Synthesis of Surfactant Stabilized Silver Nanoparticles by the Laser-Liquid-Solid Interaction Technique (LLSI)." His thesis work earned him the 2001 Xerox Research Award. He has extensive experience in chemical precipitation synthesis methods for metallic nanoparticles and printable conductor formulation. He has played a key role in the development of PChem's silver nanoparticle based high speed conductive inks. He has been doing R&D in the formulation of printable materials for electronics since his graduation.
Christopher Wargo
Project Leader. Chris hold a B.S. In Chemical Engineering from NJIT. He has worked on academic projects at Harvard University with George Whitesides and at Princeton University with George Scherer. He has held technical positions at Ferro Corporation, Parelec, Inc, and Cytec Industries. Chris joined PChem in 2007, where he now leads the company's Applied Technology and Engineering efforts.
