Products
Across all applications our silver nanoparticle formulations provide the following:
- Superior conductivity (as low as 4 x the resistivity of bulk silver)
- Lower temperature processing/curing (as low as 80°C)
- Very short cure times (as little as 0.5 sec with conventional IR heaters)
- Aqueous based system with minimal VOC's
Commercial Formulations:
Formulated silver nanoparticle inks for printed electronics:
PFI-700 Series Conductive Flexographic Printing Inks
Aqueous flexographic ink formulations containing PChem’s proprietary silver nanoparticles which have been formulated for high speed roll to roll printing. Once thermally cured these materials form highly conductive and cohesive sintered silver films that adhere to most print/primer treated films and coated papers.
See data sheet for more details.
PGI-700 Series Conductive Rotogravure Printing Inks
Aqueous gravure ink formulations containing PChem’s proprietary silver nanoparticles which have been formulated for high speed roll to roll printing. Once cured these materials form highly conductive and cohesive sintered silver films that adhere to most print/primer treated films and coated papers.
Expected to be available the 3rd Quarter of 2010
PSpi-700 Series Sprayable Conductive Shielding Coatings
Aqueous HVLP sprayable coating containing PChem’s proprietary silver nanoparticles developed for EMI/RFI shielding applications. This low VOC formulation is designed to thermally cure at low temperatures and is compatible with low temperature plastics such as ABS, polycarbonate, and ABS/PC blends. It allows for very thin coating thicknesses (as little as 1 – 3 microns of dry film) while maintaining excellent shielding properties and good abrasion resistance.
See data sheet for more details
Custom and Developmental Formulations
Custom formulations may be available on request. Formulations demonstrating the feasibility of using PChem’s proprietary silver nanoparticles in silk screen, lithographic and dry offset, letterpress, dispensing equipment and ink jet print processes have been developed in the past. PChem is currently focused on flexographic and gravure printable formulations, but is willing to discuss potential strategic partnerships to commercialize these developmental materials or custom formulations.
